A few days prior to Misery Loves Company 3, Jason Lineberger pulled out of the title unification fight. Amos Collins was able to take the fight on short notice. Going into the fight I was bigger, faster, and in better shape than any fight to date. However, I had lost my aggressive streak. To see a fight recap visit , MMASpot.Net Fight Coverage , I still believe I won the fight, but I am thoroughly disappointed in my performance.
I decided the day before the fight I would make a drastic change in my training camp following the fight. I am officially only training at Team Reality Of Combat (Team ROC). I am refocusing my training. I have been spending so much time and effort on improving my weaknesses that I have neglected what I have found success with. The results should speak for them self at my next fight.
Speaking of my next fight. I will be fighting for Elite Championship Cage Fighting in Charlotte, NC on March 19 for their #1 Contender Spot vs. Kevin Forrant. This will be the third time we have faced. While I would like to say we hate each other and have a blood feud that causes us to jump at each other’s throats every time we see each other, the reality is Kevin is a good guy and I actually think he is a pretty good guy. That said, do not think this is going to be a boring fight that means nothing. This is a rubber match. We both are very competitive and like hell am I going to let there be any question on who wins this fight. And I am 100% positive he feels the exact same way.
I want to wish my friends and teammates at Crossface MMA and Team One the best of luck.
